How to get rid of Water Weight

Although on the days you’re feeling bloated it may seem more like 100 percent, your body is made up of 70 percent water. That’s a good thing since water plays several crucial roles in your body, like carrying nutrients and oxygen to your cells, keeping you hydrated, and regulating your body temperature.

The problem is that some days, your body seems to hold onto too much water, leaving you with that heavy, bloated feeling that makes you want to reach for sweatpants over skinny jeans. On any given day, you can fluctuate by 2 to 5 pounds of water.

The likely culprit of water weight: too much salt in your diet such as from processed foods, deli meats, frozen dinners, and canned soups. Having too much salt or sodium in the body is a big factor, and so is being sedentary and not moving around enough.
The kidney is a dynamic organ. It decides whether to hold on to water. If you've had too much salt the night before, then your kidneys will hold on to more water to dilute or correct that salty imbalance... Then they flush it all out.
As anyone with PMS knows, the condition can also trigger water retention the week or two before your period starts. Although it’s not fully understood why PMS brings on the bloat, hormonal changes are likely at play, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Although it sounds counterintuitive, drinking water is one of the best ways to get rid of water weight. In a nutshell, water flushes out water. But if you’re not a big fan of H2O, try squeezing in some lemon or lime for more flavor. Or you can sub in other fluids, such as iced green tea or even coffee, which, contrary to popular belief, won’t dehydrate you, in moderate amounts (up to four cups). It also helps to get moving: Sweating it out at the gym can help you ditch excess water weight, while — bonus, beating PMS-related moodiness and fatigue.

7 Spring Beauty Trends for 2015

1. Colorful Finish to Lips

The lip color for this season has gone rich, deep and luscious. Deep berry, plum, wine and bright red lips were preferred by several top designers.
Not only are plum shades wearable and classy, they also look great on all skin tones. Vibrant poppy color, orange and its various deep matte shades, raisin  has been spotted on models strutting the ramp in Milan and Paris FW shows.
You can also experiment with finish and apply stains, gloss or stains in the trending colors. If you are applying a deep and dark color, a diffused look around the edges will give a stained and sultry effect.

2. Go Easy on Hair Styling

Several top names including Gucci featured models who sported the ‘pillow-made bohemian’ hairstyle. You need not fret over flying hair strands destroying your hairstyle anymore. Windblown hairstyle has dominated runways this season and stands out for its real life wearability, and is something that you can try out at home.
Instead of blow-dry allow your wet hair to dry out on its own, giving you lovely beach-blown look. There are several styling products that will help you get the sea-swept look with that delectable bend at the ends, but keep in mind that this is not a no-maintenance style.
The lived in waves look best when your hair is healthy and in good condition, and of good color and length.
Braids also maintain their pole position and show no signs of going away in 2015. Messy braids and intricate professional dos are here to stay. So brush up on your braiding skills without fail.

3. Hair Accessories Are the New Statement Pieces

Ornamental and embellished hair accessories are the new show stealers and have been seen at Valentino and Dolce and Gabbana shows.
The beautiful gold barrettes at Celine, haute hair combs at Lanvin and gilded hairbands at Valentino are all styles that you can experiment with. Fresh flowers were also used as hair embellishments.
Scarves, slim bows and leather flowers were also seen on the catwalk. Hairbands came in all sized and hues, and will remain popular the coming season as well.Hair accessories help add a luxurious twist to the natural-hair look trending this season.

4. Clean, Fresh and Natural-Looking Skin Is In

Clean and scrubbed is how the skin looks this season.
A good cleansing and nourishing facial will set off your skin in the best possible glow. Spring 2015 asks you to not overdo highlighting or over contouring makeup. The ‘I woke up like this look’ does not ask for shimmery highlighters so you can finally say goodbye to them and embrace your natural skin, freckles and all.
A soft-shade contour stick can be used along the cheekbones and around the eyes and is the new answer to your outdated heavy blush.
Ensure your beauty routine packs in daily workouts which will bring the sexy post-exercise flush to your skin.
Fashion emphasizes on having a healthy and wholesome lifestyle. Have a nutritious diet follow good lifestyle habits and drink plenty of water to perfect your skin for the Spring 2015 look.

5. Slick Hair and Glossy Ponytails Are Big

If you are rushing to office and have no time to blow-dry your showered hair, do not worry. Slicked back wet hair is fashion’s favored look and goes equally well with your formal jumpsuit and edgy evening dress.
Ponytails come in all forms, sleek and sexy, or messy, high, low or side. Low neck-grazing styles are rocking the ramps from NY to Paris. And the best part about them is that there is a right style that you can sport to office, to Sunday brunch with friends or to a formal do.

6. Eyeliners Do the Talking

Winged black eyeliners have dominated ramps this Spring/Summer and smudged mascara is also in. Kohl-rimmed, graphic eye makeup and smoky eyes continue to be popular but the super-smoky look is out. There is more dimension, texture and a finite blend of colors in the new smoky look.
Pops of color were seen in eyeliners that were understated in some cases but quite high-impact in others.
Blue eyeliner really caught the attention of the movers and shakers and is bound to be the trend to watch this season.
Not only are the pastel shades elegant but also give you a cool summery look.

7. Healthy, Pink Nails Are Hot

Hydrated and healthy pink nails are the spring/summer trend.Un-manicure is the way to go. So do away with acetone, synthetic polishes and glittering nail art and embrace the new safe look.
Regular polishing makes nails brittle and prone to breakage. Treat them to a nourishing mask, massage and manicure. Overnight masks are also available  that will moisturize and heal your nails as you sleep.
Flesh-toned and neutral nail polishes, shorter nail lengths and negative space trend. Nail art is delicate and muted, and makes sure your natural nail shows through. Nails are also filed to mimic cuticles to give a natural look.
